Looking for cafes in Bondi ? Here is the place to start.
Sydney has a lot of great cafes. Eating breakfast out has become a staple of the Aussie culture. Whether you want to just pick up a coffee or sit and eat while you read the paper, there are plenty of places to choose from. Bondi is full of both locals and visitors, so international students are bound to find a favourite spot to meet up with new friends. Here are some places to try.
This well known cafe chooses the most local ingredients for its menu and their suppliers are minutes away for this cafe. Aussies love a good ‘smashed avocado on toast’, and this is one of the house specialties. Another staple on this menu is the salmon and is a very popular dish. This cafe focuses on organic, sustainable and clean food and you will find nut mylk, star anise, black wattle honey, cinnamon, nutmeg and more featuring throughout the choices. It has a lid-back vibe, making it a great place to visit and give your taste buds a treat.
If you are looking for simple food at great prices, then The Shop might be the place for you. Grab a bacon and egg roll (fresh brown roll, aioli dressing on both sides, tomato relish, with two bacon rashes and a poached egg) and be on your way. The Shop is a cafe and wine bar in Curlewis Street. In fact The Shop is so small that you may not fit inside. They run a tight ship though and are able to deliver your food and coffee both at the right temperature for you to get straight in. Check it out.
OK, this one is so good you might have to line up to get in. You should only have to wait five to ten minutes though and the atmosphere is so great, its usually a pleasure. If you have a group over eight though, you can book a table. House specialties are corn fritters, scrambled eggs and hotcakes. You could try a super healthy smoothie, cold-drip coffee or freshly squeezed orange juice. Chocolate fudge milk shakes, home made sodas and frappes are also a great option. This isn’t a cheap option, however it is a great option for a special occasion or meeting up with people on a first time visit to Sydney. For more cafe options check out timeout Sydney.
