Delivery and Assessment


All vocational courses are assessed through a combination of assessment types that may include written assignments, case studies, reports, group tasks, portfolios and/or presentations. Students must successfully pass all units to complete the qualification.

All course materials and workbooks are available for free download from SELC’s e-learning platform, or for optional purchase at $10 per unit for hard copy. Assessment workbooks are provided inclusive of course fees.

Sample Timetable


International students undertake 15 hours face-to-face + 5 hours online study per week.

Terms and Breaks


SELC Business and Management courses are delivered over 9 weeks terms, with 3 week breaks, with intakes 4 times a year.*

BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management is delivered over 4 terms (approximately one year).

Course Entry Requirements and Durations


Academic
Successful completion of Australian Year 10 or international equivalent

English Level
Non-native English speakers must provide evidence of one of the following:

  • Successful completion of 10 weeks of SELC General English at upper-intermediate level (plus 80% attendance) or at other approved providers;
  • Score of upper-intermediate or above on SELC’s placement test. N.B. Tests taken overseas or off-campus must be re-taken on campus prior to finalising enrolments;
  • Cambridge CAE, or FCE (above 160);
  • IELTS proficiency level of 5.5 or above (minimum of 5.5 in writing) or equivalent;
  • or a completed Australian Diploma level qualification
